I’m a classical piano lover who’s also an identical Twin
God is the center of my life, and I’m grateful for all the talents he’s given me. Without him I’m nothing.
I enjoy spending time with my family, rabbit, traveling to new destinations, and golfing with my husband.
I’m a mom of two and I feel extremely grateful to God for blessing me with that.

Hi, I’m Valentina
Welcome to my music journey!
I grew up in a small country in Eastern Europe, Bulgaria. I have always been very ambitious and driven to succeed. My mother encouraged me to go to college and get a great education.
When I decided that I’ll only study in the United States, everyone thought I WAS crazy. I kept my dreams a secret. Only my mom and twin knew. In 2004 I moved to the USA where I attended college.
I studied piano performance for two years. However in my third year, I decided it was time to change my major.
In 2008 I received a Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations and Electronic Media (Radio/TV). But having a BA wasn’t enough, so I moved to the UK to pursue a Masters degree in Public Relations.

interesting fact

I’ve always had a strong mindset and a never give up attitude. I believe that if you have a burning desire for something, you can achieve anything.
I started playing piano when I was eight years old and dedicated a huge part of my childhood to the piano. My friends came and knocked on my door every day after school: “Let’s go play outside.” My response always was: “I can’t. I have to practice piano. I’ll come out when I’m done.” This 1 hour of practice became 2, and 3, and 4, until the door knocks became less and less. My friends got the hint that I was more dedicated to my piano than playing with them.
I sacrificed so much, but I have zero regrets. I became a very good pianist and performed many times in front of big audiences at my school and hometown. At one point in my life, I played piano between 6-8 hours per day.
I went to a regular high school that specializes in music. I had to take all the general classes every school offers, but our main subject was learning music. We had long days and hours of learning music theory and music history. Twice a week I had to go to my piano teacher and focus on my technique along with learning different pieces. My sister and I were the best in our class, because we put in the most effort.

My College Experience
In the first 2 years of college, I majored in piano performance. I had to focus on my education to keep my scholarship. It was very hard to practice piano every single day. 90% of the time the practice rooms were occupied.
After 2 years, I had enough and quit playing piano cold turkey. I needed a break from music. The combination of playing every day for so many years, and the fact that I wasn’t able to find time to practice as much, were the determining factors I decided to quit. I was burned out.
What Got Me Back To Playing Again
In 2020 when COVID happened I started working from home, I found myself with some free time to play piano after work. I had an old keyboard, so one day I went and tried to play one of the old pieces I played back in high school and college. I couldn’t believe how stiff my fingers were and how I couldn’t play as fast anymore. This is the moment reality hit me hard. I asked myself, “ Valentina, how dare you let your music talent go? You used to be so great at the piano”.
Because I received a solid foundation in music theory back in high school, the first two years of college were pretty easy. Another regret hit me in 2020. The regret of letting the knowledge of music theory go. How and why did I let this happen? I kept asking myself over and over again. This is when I decided to start playing piano again.

My goal is to bring joy and happiness into your life through music.
Do you remember how fearless you once were? If you think you’ve lost that passion, I will fight you on that. You haven’t lost it. That flame that was once lit in your heart is still there, all you need to do is find it again. And the best way to do this is take your old notes, scores, and start playing.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my page. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out. I look forward to the opportunity to share my love of music with you!
Best Wishes, Valentina
