Exploring the Garden Island of Kauai.
Catamaran Snorkel Adventure Up Nepali Coast
Honeymoon, Day 3
We woke up earlier and went to the gym. My husband and I enjoy working out and we prioritize our health by eating healthy and training a few times per week. Since it was warm and humid outside, as soon as I entered the gym, I felt I was going to freeze. The AC was turned to the max and it was SOOOOO cold. I jumped on the treadmill right away to warm up.
After our gym session we headed to the pool and jacuzzi. You can see the ocean from the pool. We sat and relaxed, something we needed after being stressed out with wedding planning for the last few months.
If you go to Kauai one thing to remember is that days start early and end early. Kauai is a very laidback island. Tourists on the island start their days very early, because there’s so much you can do and see during the day. By the time you are done exploring the island, all you want to do is go back to your hotel eat, watch the sunset, and go to bed. This is why almost everything closes early. Of course, you can find some entertainment in some of the local bars, breweries, hotels, but it’s not as late as you may be used to.
After relaxing in the jacuzzi, we went back to our condo and made a nice breakfast. My husband made eggs with ham, and we had some yogurt with berries. Of course, the first thing I was craving was my morning coffee. I got my bible and journal and went outside. We could see the ocean from our balcony.
The next adventure we had on the books was a snorkeling tour by boat. We’re going to see one of the most well-known parts of the North Shore called Napali Coast. It’s 17 miles long and it reveals beautiful waterfalls, beaches, and razor-sharp ridges mountain towers.

The best way to explore that part of the island is by boat or helicopter.
We had to drive to Port Allen on the West Side to get to Capt. Andy’s. Once everyone arrived and was all checked in, we walked down to the port. We got into a 55′ Gold Coast Catamaran, which was spacious and very clean. We sat outside, because we wanted to get the most out of the beautiful weather and scenery. The crew was very kind and accommodating.
The tour included the breathtaking Napali Coast, snorkeling, sailing, Hawaiian history, whales in season, lunch, dessert, and beverages.

Jackie was the captain of our Catamaran. She was extremely knowledgeable. As we left the coast and got into deeper waters, we started seeing dolphins and whales everywhere around us. Everyone was making videos and taking photos.
It took us about 2 hours to get to the snorkeling location. There’re sea cliffs, enchanting waterfalls, and timeless lava formations all around us. We saw helicopters flying over the cliffs and many smaller boats around us.
Once we arrived the crew provided snorkeling instructions to everyone. They handed everyone clean gear who wanted to go in the water.

They also provided snorkel vests for those who were less experienced swimmers.
A few important things to bring with you if you decide to do the tour are sunscreen, your own towels, sunglasses, jacket (it can get chilly while sailing), and of course camera or your phone to take photos. This is all included in Captain Andy’s site.
We spent about an hour in the water looking at colorful fish and sea turtles in the reefs. A crew member was on a puddle board at all times watching us to make sure everyone was safe.
When we got done snorkeling, we had a delicious lunch with different alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. We hung out there for about an hour or so and headed back to the Port. The waters were choppier on the way back, and it took a bit longer to get back.
Overall, it was an amazing experience, and we would recommend Captain Andy’s to everyone.
On the way to Marriott, we stopped by Kauai Coffee to get some fresh coffee.
Once we got back to the hotel, we rested a bit. Then, we decided to go across the street to Cabana bar and Grill for some live music. We’re pleasantly surprised by the welcoming environment. We got to listen to a guy play Hawaiian music and a beautiful girl was dancing. We ordered appetizers and some drinks and enjoyed the relaxing ambiance.

When we’re in Hawaii we only listen to Hawaiian music. It helps us feel like we are part of the Hawaiian culture, and it reminds us that we are on vacation and should enjoy every minute.
As I mentioned earlier, everything closes early in Kauai, but we didn’t mind it at all. We’re so tired from the amazing day swimming in the warm Pacific ocean and the great time we had the whole day.
